SC Awards open for nominations

More gongs for a growing information security industry.

The fourth annual SC Magazine awards to be handed out at May's AusCERT conference are open for nominations.

Categories have carried on from last year to reflect the growth in the Australian information security industry and confidence in the awards program.

The awards recongise innovation in security, the vendor and product of the year, along with those products and services which best defended networks against attack.

Veteran security professionals have returned to judge this years' awards. They include BlackSwan Consulting's Keith Price, Lockbox chief technology officer Rick Harvey, author and speaker Nigel Phair, CQR Consulting director and CISSP Phil Kernick, Logica CISO Ajoy Ghosh, Sense of Security director and CTO Jason Edelstein and Securus Global managing director Drazen Drazic, IBRS analyst James Turner, IPSec's Ben Robson, Surete Group's Alastair Macgibbon, StratSec's Nick Ellsmore and joing them is BST Tech Consulting's Glenn Strickland.

Entries close on March 30 with finalists to be announced a month later. The awards will be handed out at the AusCERT gala dinner on May 17.
