Bitdefender has launched a cloud-based endpoint protection service.
Designed for small- and medium-sized businesses by eliminating the need for on-site infrastructure or dedicated resources, Bitdefender said Cloud Security for Endpoints delivers the benefits of an enterprise on-premise security solution for end-user systems and servers without the traditional overheads.
Rares Stefan, director of business solutions at Bitdefender, said: “Cloud Security for Endpoints is the first cloud-based solution in our new business security offering. Security as a service simplifies IT investment, generating immediate savings through reduced upfront costs and overheads, thereby allowing organisations to focus on their core business.”
Powered by Bitdefender's Gravity Architecture, Cloud Security for Endpoints' customisable console provides control, reporting and alerting services for various roles within an organisation.
The company claims that there is no need to upgrade or expand cloud security console capabilities because all of the features and scaling capacity expected of enterprise-class security solutions are available instantly.
