EDITOR'S NOTE

An internet user has posted online instructions and exploit code that they say allows users to takedown or hijack the infamous Sality botnet. The instructions were contained in a Full Disclosure mailing list post by a user, 'Law Abiding Citizen', apparently frustrated by the slow process by which botnets can be legally taken down.

And the ACMA has revealed 10,000 Australians remain infected with the DNSChanger malware. Users that don't scrub the malware from their machines could be taken offline once the temporary command and control servers are pulled in July.
