User passwords for Mac OS X FileVault are being stored in clear text. The flaw was triggered by a glitched February security update and works under specific conditions.

And a security research firm has discovered a zero-day hole in PHP-CGI that allows for remote code execution. The bug remains live after a recent patch failed to fix the flaw.
