Local security pen tester Snare has unleashed his Mac rootkit that does horrible things to the boot process, thwarting Filevault and all other current defences.

And what is said to be the first in the wild rootkit designed to protect malware and attack Mac OS X has been discovered. The malware steals a large range of data types including voice, video, IM and email.
