SafeNet releases iKey USB token to meet PCI DSS

SafeNet has released a new version of its iKey USB security token.

The iKey 4000 is designed to meet the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), SafeNet claimed.

The device, which can be attached to a key-ring, uses advanced encryption system (AES) technology for two-factor authentication and boasts hardware-based encryption and digital signing, key generation and key storage.

According to the company, the product can be used for virtual private network (VPN) authentication, digital signatures, email encryption and other PKI-enabled applications from a variety of security vendors.

The iKey 4000 is combatable with Microsoft CryptoAPI, PKCS#11 and Apple Native PC/SC.

Pricing was unavailable at the time of going to press.
