Infosecurity hit the headlines in 2003 as in no other year before. The coverage helped to satiate the thirst for information about the topic among corporate executives. After all, this was the year that company networks all over the globe were taken out by the likes of Blaster and Slapper. Even with this fervent interest in infosec, however, a slew of similar IT security problems from the year before ring true for this one as well.
