Arkin wrote in a blog post: “This is the first quarterly security update for Adobe Reader and Acrobat, and incorporates the initial output of code hardening efforts.” Adobe claimed that it was planning to ‘release security updates for all major supported versions and platforms of Adobe Reader and Acrobat on a quarterly basis' in May, with Arkin claiming that this was part of an increased security effort. The update also coincides with Microsoft's Patch Tuesday security update, details of which were confirmed last week.
