BAE Systems has won a $US40 million ($42 million) cybersecurity deal to protect the "confidentiality and privacy" of FBI computer networks.
It covered FBI networks in the US and "around the world", the British defence contractor said.
BAE will do assess the agency's information security risk so that data was "transmitted, stored and protected safely".
It was the first order awarded in the FBI's five-year, $US134 million information assurance program support contract.
