Symantec is set to launch a platform to automate manual tasks and monitor the health of IT resources.
Veritas Operations Manager 4.0 was designed as a centralised management platform for the Veritas Storage Foundation and Veritas Cluster Server and will be available from next year.
Symantec said it was an action-based storage management tool that allowed the centralised management console to control and optimise data centre storage and availability operations.
It said the system allowed organisations to deploy applications with an on-host storage provisioning service catalogue.
Product management vice president Don Angspatt said the product had been installed in about 10 minutes.
