Home address and telephone numbers of more than 700 US Government staff were stolen in a string of hacks and published online.
Seven government agencies were breached in the attacks in which adminstrative credentials and some sensitive data were also published online.
Affected organisations include the US military and Civil Air Patrol, the French Ministry of Defence and the European Space Agency.
The affected staff details were stolen from NASA's Glenn Research Centre.
Hacking group dubbed The Unknowns were responsible for the breaches. They uploaded data stolen from the sites to file-sharing web sites and posted log-in data to Pastebin.
But the uploaded data was mostly unclassified internal material including expense forms, software, and details on flight missions by the US Civil Air Patrol.
In the Pastebin entry, the group said it hacked the organisations which also included Renault and Harvard University to demonstrate weak investments in information security.
