Panda Security has released the new version of Cloud Office Protection, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) endpoint security solution offering device-control technology.
Claiming that it enhances security and productivity, it said Cloud Office Protection 6.0's device-control technologies were designed to prevent the spread of malware through the improper use of external devices.
It said the controls enforce policies to deny access, force read-only access, or grant total access on multiple device types (USB flash drives, digital cameras, DVDs and more) through the Cloud Office Protection web-based console.
Its infrastructure is hosted in the cloud, with the new version hosted in Windows Azure.
Among the features is the Malware Freezer that stores detected malware for a week, places it in quarantine and protects the system in the event of a false positive.
