Verizon opens up security suite to trial users

The broadband service company said that it will allow businesses and individual users, regardless of their current internet service provider, to access its suite of security products online for a month at no cost.

The Verizon Internet Security Suite features privacy management software, which the company said will scan outgoing communications to prevent sensitive information being sent without consent.

It also contains content management tools, which are designed for small businesses to control employee internet and data access, Verizon claimed.

Other features include anti-virus and anti-spyware technology, firewall, and pop-up and ad blockers.

The suite can be accessed now for a month at no charge. It then costs US$4.99 a month for up to three computers.
