Tumbleweed releases SME data security appliance

Tumbleweed has announced the launch of a new content security appliance geared towards the Small Medium Enterprise (SME) sector across the Asia-Pacific region.

The MailGate Appliance 3650 claims to help prevent accidental email data leakage and filters sensitive content such as credit card and CUSIP with a simple check box.

Furthermore, the application is capable of processing close to two million messages an hour.

According to Stree Naidu, Regional vice president APJ at Tumbleweed, security threats in messaging are more prevalent now than ever, thus, it is important to offer our customers reliable messaging security solutions to address their everyday needs.

“One area that sets it apart from our competitors is how it can look into the ‘slack space’ inside files, such as properties information, revisions, and other meta data, and help ensure that sensitive business information doesn’t slip out.”
